Wine and Roses bike ride seeks volunteers
– The 2015 Wine and Roses Bike Ride takes place on Oct. 10. The event is benefiting Parents For Joy. The Templeton Chamber of Commerce, which organizes the event, is in need of day-of volunteers.
There are a number of opportunities to support to this event:
6 a.m. – 9 a.m.- Registration volunteers needed at Templeton Community Services Distict board room, located on 5th and Crocker streets
7 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Volunteers are needed to drive the route throughout the day to help riders who are broken down, injured, need assistance,etc. Volunteers would need their own car, but will be provided with a gas card.
7 a.m. – 2 p.m.- Rest stop volunteers are needed to sit at a rest stop out on the route, putting out food and beverages, greeting riders when they arrive, and reporting back to headquarters any issues or questions from riders
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.- Barbecue assistance needed in Templeton Park to help set up, serve wine/beer, clean up, record arriving cyclists’ numbers, help with raffle, etc…
