Vina Robles opens secondary exit to improve departure time

–Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles opens a secondary exit from Mill Road to Union Road for the intimate 3,300 capacity venue. The secondary exit will reduce departure time from the venue to less than 45 minutes for a sold-out event and increase safety.

“In response to community feedback and to better serve our event patrons, this secondary exit will help expedite event egress as well as provide emergency access to the venue,” said Paul Leatherman, General Manager of the Vina Robles Amphitheatre. “We are grateful for the support and insight from Cal Fire, the City of Paso Robles, the County of San Luis Obispo, and especially our neighbors for helping us improve this beautiful facility.”

For over a year, the Vina Robles Amphitheatre team consulted with engineers, surveying, construction, and traffic control professionals as well as Cal Fire, the County of San Luis Obispo and the City of Paso Robles to ensure that when in use, exiting vehicles will have as little impact on local properties and landowners as possible. The 2.3-mile long exit road is 20 feet wide and lined with reflective delineators, directional signage and staffed by trained Vina Robles Amphitheatre employees who will guide vehicles along the route to control speed and direct traffic at the outlet onto Union Road.
