This week is Templeton CSD’s Clean-Up Week

It’s Time for Spring Cleaning!

The district’s refuse hauler, Mid-State Solid Waste, will offer a clean-up week to residential customers during the week of April 27th – May 1st 2015. Single family residences may set out up to the equivalent of twelve, 32-gallon standard trash bags/cans, (not to exceed 60 pounds each) on their regular pick-up day.Spring Cleaning sign

Please contact Mid-State Solid Waste at (805) 434-3408 if you need to dispose of large or bulky items such as: furniture, appliances, etc. Special arrangements are required because different trucks are used to collect these items and fees will be applied.

Turn Clutter into Cash with the 5th Annual TCSD Yard Sale

Templeton Community Services District’s annual community-wide, Clutter-To-Cash Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, starting at 8 a.m. Residents living within the Templeton CSD’s boundaries may sign-up for the event via a form in their March utility bill, or at the district office located at 420 Crocker Street, Templeton. There is no charge to register. Please note that sign-ups will not be accepted after April 22, 2015.

Residents are encouraged to embrace the three r’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle. “One person’s trash is another person’s treasure,” or so the saying goes, so instead of discarding unwanted appliances, tools, furniture, or clothes, why not try selling or donating them? This prevents usable goods from going into the landfill, so not only will you be reducing waste, you’ll be helping others.

Shoppers can find yard sale addresses and brief descriptions of items for sale on printed maps that will be available at the Templeton Donut Shop, Templeton Market and Deli and the TCSD Office on April 24.
For more information contact the Templeton CSD Office during regular business hours at (805) 434-4900 or visit the website at www.templetoncsd.org.
