Residents of San Luis Obispo County are invited to sample a truly unique education offering in Templeton

–Templeton Home School is an undiscovered gem offering support for families who desire a truly individualized educational experience for their children. They are hosting an open house for interested families on March 7, from 5:30-7 p.m. Guests will be treated to tacos as they tour the school, meet the teachers, see the curriculum, and get a taste of the electives and enrichment activities that students in the school enjoy.

Templeton Home School is WASC Accredited School where parents receive support from credentialed teachers on a weekly basis. Each student in the program benefits from an instructional plan that is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student in order to maximize the student’s potential and remediate weaknesses as necessary.

The program offers nine sessions of free math tutoring per week, with reading intervention.

The students may attend a number of weekly elective, enrichment classes, such as:

  • Art classes
  • Ceramics
  • Hands-on science classes
  • Hiking club
  • Spanish classes
  • Writing workshop classes

We also offer:

  • Technology and Ipad check outs
  • Monthly field trips
  • Talent recitals
  • Science week and science fair

Families pick and choose which opportunities they wish to take advantage of. Some students might spend 2-4 hours per day on-site, others choose less, and pursue outside interests in dance, drama, gymnastics, horsemanship, and other worthy endeavors.

Templeton Home School is located at 964 Old County Road, Templeton. For more information, email [email protected] or call (805) 434 – 4148.
