Templeton Chamber hires new executive director
Sarah Maggelet will lead chamber as executive director
The Board of Directors of the Templeton Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday named Sarah Taylor Maggelet new executive director of the organization.
Maggelet is a long time volunteer with the chamber. She recently served as an ambassador and as a co-coordinator of the chamber’s top fundraiser, the Wine & Roses Bicycle Ride. Sarah is currently president of the Rotary Club of Templeton. She is a San Luis Obispo native and earned her MBA from Cal Poly in 2001.
Maggelet volunteers her time with KCBX and the Live Oak Music Festival. She is a graduate of Leadership San Luis Obispo Class XV and also leads the Vocal Arts Ensemble as part time Executive Director.
With a professional background in marketing and sales, Maggelet worked in the local media and wine industries, before launching her own website development firm, Applynx Website Solutions, with her husband Scott Maggelet.
Her appointment follows the October resignation of its first director, Berdette Robison.
The board of directors also announced it hired Jennifer Tallent as an administrative assistant. Jennifer has a background in hotel management in Southern California and recently relocated to the North County to work at her family-owned olive oil farm and event center, The Groves on 41. Both women will work part time for the Chamber at the office on Main Street.
The Templeton Chamber of Commerce is an alliance of over 200 North County businesses and citizens that has advocated for the economic vitality of the community of Templeton since 1902.
