Templeton artisan to be featured on TV show, ‘Handcrafted America’
–In the 3rd season of INSP’s award-winning original series, “Handcrafted America,” host Jill Wagner travels the country to seek out talented artisans who continue to make products the old fashioned way: with their own two hands. In every half‐hour episode, Wagner meets three gifted craftsmen and gets a behind‐the‐scenes look at how their products are created. Along the way, viewers learn about the history and cultural heritage that inspire and influence the design of their handcrafted products. Templeton native Randy Stromsoe will be featured on the show this coming Friday, Aug. 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET on INSP.
The show begins in Riviera Beach, Florida, where John Ippolito shows Jill how he makes the spear guns that are changing the sport of spearfishing with their amazing accuracy. Then in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jamie Yocono makes beautifully crafted wood and raku tiled cabinets and proves woodworking is not just a job for men. Finally, in Templeton, Stromsoe, a classically trained, award-winning metalsmith demonstrates how he makes the one-of-a-kind pewter goblets that have been used by U.S. Presidents.
