Templeton Active Senior’s Club meets every month 

Templeton Senior ClubThe Templeton Active Senior’s Club meets on the first Friday of each month from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Templeton Community Center, located at 601 S. Main Street in Templeton. The next meeting is Oct. 3.

These meetings typically include a presentation on topics pertinent to the senior community and last for about an hour, with plenty of time allowed for a question and answer period following the presentation. The club welcomes visitors and new members. Membership is $5.00 per year.

Past meetings have included discussion topics and presentations such as hearing loss and prevention, eating well, brain aerobics, dealing with depression on aging, pedestrian safety, and strategies for taking withdrawals from retirement accounts, including positioning an account to be inherited by a loved one.

Future meetings will include tips on upcoming income tax changes, hearing loss and fall prevention, brain aerobics (back by popular demand), and much more.
