Taste of Templeton Wine Festival returns for third year
Third annual wine festival features small production wines, live music, food
The Templeton Chamber of Commerce and Must! Charities are hosting the 3rd annual Taste of Templeton Wine Festival on Saturday May 2. The event this year features small wineries, some of which do not have their own tasting room or wide distribution of their wines.
A few of the wineries scheduled to pour include Four Lanterns, Seven Angels, J Dusi, Kenneth Volk, Hidden Oak, Felten and Powell Mountain Cellars. A full list of participating wineries is on the website at templetonchamber.com.
The event is in the Templeton Community Park and will also feature beer tasting, olive oil and food tasting, arts and crafts vendors and live music including acoustic guitarist Jim Sweetwater; Brazilian folk quintet Choro de Ouro; and headliner, 9-person funk bank Captain Nasty. Food options will also be available for purchase and picnic areas are provided near the main stage. No dogs, coolers or outside alcohol allowed.
The Taste of Templeton kicks off at 1 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m. Tickets are $35 pre-sale and $40 at the door and include a souvenir stemless wine glass. The designated driver package, at $20, includes four non-alcoholic drink tickets, a snack and scoop of gelato.
