The Monterey County Water Resources Agency‘s recent report on Lake Nacimiento shows water levels rising from the recent storms.

The lake is at 46-percent of capacity as of Wednesday with a surface elevation of 756 feet. That puts the lake at 172,491 acre-feet of water. An acre-foot is 1-foot high spread across an acre of area. The current surface area of the lake is 3,652 acres.

The agency reports seasonal rainfall at 7.07-inches since July 1, 2017, which is below the typical average at this time. Last year there was 18.06-inches of rainfall at this time.
