Jeff Cannon is named Firefighter of the Year
Fire fighter Jeff Cannon was recognized recently as the 2014 Templeton Firefighter of the Year at the Templeton Firefighters Annual Appreciation Dinner.
“Jeff has made a difference in our organization and community. His dedication to the Department, work ethic coupled with his desire to be the best, makes him a great firefighter and friend”, said Interim Fire Chief Keith Aggson.
The Firefighter of the year is selected by his/her peers on the following criteria: Being a team player, makes the Department a better place, is respected by their peers, constantly improves themselves, is involved in extracurricular projects and routinely responds to emergency service calls.
Cannon joined the Templeton Community Service Fire Department as a Firefighter in 2013, he has recently tested and promoted to a driver operator position and recently was voted in as the Firefighter Association President.
Cannon has been active in Association fundraising, Salvation Army bell ringing, and consistently providing night coverage at the Fire Station. He is presently employed full time with the Templeton Community Services District as a utility operator II employee.
