Hope Clinic offering free dental care, eye exams and health services on May 21
Event is sponsored by Templeton Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church
–The HOPE clinic, offering free dental care, eye exams, diabetes testing, body composition scanning, diet counseling, chiropractic and massage therapy is returning on May 21. This is the second year the Templeton Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church is hosting clinic. Health Ministry Director Dr. Steve Mulder said more than 150 people received dental care at last year’s clinic and “even more received other health services.” Dental services include hygiene, fillings, extractions, and root canals.
Dentists, physicians, nurses, dental hygienists and other health professionals from San Luis Obispo County and as far away as Fresno are donating their time. The equipment, dental chairs, supplies, and medications are supplied by the General Conference of the church. The Templeton clinic is one of many sponsored by Seventh-Day Adventist churches throughout Central California to promote healthy lifestyles and a stronger spiritual connection through health.
The clinic starts at 8 a.m. Services are on a first come first serve basis. Arrive early. This year people are given a number upon arrival and will be served when their number is called. Mulder said more medical, dental and healing arts profession volunteers are needed, especially dental hygienists. To volunteer or for more information contact Mulder at (805) 459-0817. The Templeton Hills Seventh-Day Adventist Church is located at 930 Templeton Hills Road, Templeton.
