Dark Nectar Coffee Roasters opens up new shop
— Dark Nectar Coffee Roasters has a new location in downtown Atascadero, in addition to their Templeton roaster and involvement in several farmers markets around San Luis Obispo County. The Atascadero location opened for business in September 2017 and is looking to offer a unique experience from the Templeton roaster by a possible application for a liquor license and a partnership with the Dead Oak Brewing Company also on Entrada Avenue, according to reports. The owner, Danny Jones, has been involved in the coffee business for the past six years, starting with the Templeton location.
In addition to selling coffee in the shop, Dark Nectar sells wholesale to McPhee’s Grill and partners with Firestone Walker Brewing Company on a stout called Parabajava. Dark Nectar coffee is also sold at the Good2Go location in Paso Robles. Coffee beans roasted in the shop come from various areas of the world, such as Brazil, Tanzania, and India, according to the company’s website.
The Templeton shop is located at 420 South Main Street and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Atascadero shop is located at 5915 Entrada Ave. in Atascadero and is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Find Dark Nectar Roasters at three local farmers markets: Baywood/Los Osos on Mondays from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Cambria on Fridays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., and Templeton on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
