‘Coffee with CHP’ meeting scheduled for Jan. 12

Meeting will open with presentation on ‘Every 15 Minutes’ programwoman crashes car

–On Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 8:30 a.m., the Templeton Area commander, Lieutenant Scott Parker, will be hosting his monthly meeting, “Coffee with the CHP” at Nature’s Touch, located at 225 South Main Street in Templeton.

The meeting will open with a presentation on the “Every 15 Minutes” program, a program that the CHP, the San Luis Obispo County Behavioral Health, and the Office of Traffic Safety put on for every year for high school students. It is a two day program that takes the student body through a DUI crash scenario in which one classmate is “killed,” and several others are injured. One classmate is “arrested for DUI” and booked into the county jail. The second day wraps up with a “funeral” for the dead student.
