Attempted kidnapping reported in Templeton 

–On Saturday at approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an attempted kidnapping at a playground at a mobile home park at the 1200 block of Bennett Way in Templeton. A 9-year-old girl reported a man tried to grab her but she resisted and was able to break free. The girl ran home, notified her family members who in turn notified the sheriff’s office.

The victim described the man as an Hispanic male, unknown age, approximately 6′ 0″ tall, thin build with black hair and a black beard. Deputies responded to the area and searched the neighborhood but were unable to locate anyone matching that description. No witnesses have been identified at this time. The investigation is continuing.
