Cal Fire opens new fire station on Ramada Drive serving rural area
–After two and a half years, Cal Fire Station 30 construction has been completed, and Cal Fire has received approval for occupancy. The old fire station was decommissioned on Sept. 3, 2018, after serving Cal Fire and the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department for 60 years. The state allocated $6.5 million to build the new fire station.
As of Saturday, firefighters have officially moved into the new facility located at 2510 Ramada Drive. Cal Fire and San Luis Obispo County Fire units stationed at the new station will serve the rural Paso Robles area along with providing automatic aid to Paso City and Templeton CSD.
A formal ribbon cutting will happen in the coming weeks. Date is still undetermined. No further information is available at this time.
