Can't wait for the summer Mid-State Fair?

–Despite the fact we’re in the early stages of springtime, there’s a longing in the air for summer and everything that’s associated with it. Good weather, opportunities to spend some time outside – those are the simple things we cherish, maybe now more than ever. Perhaps, with numerous events being canceled these days, we are especially eagerly awaiting this year’s California Mid-State Fair.

When talking about activities to do around town and in the area, people usually bring about the Paso Robles Event Center, where there are plenty of things to do regularly, as well as many year-round events. These include bike rallies, horse racing derby games, flea markets, and gun shows. The center is adjacent to the building of Paso Robles Casino, which is a nice example of the regular activities people do around these parts. Although there’s nothing easier than getting started with online casinos these days, visiting such a place is an excellent idea for a night out.

However, if you are a local or educated tourist, chances are that the only thing on your mind is the famous Mid-State Fair. It is held annually at the end of July and runs for twelve days. In 2020 that will be from July 22nd to August 2nd. The fair is known to be hosting some of the biggest names in the music industry. This year’s biggest stars are Carrie Underwood and the renowned acapella group called Pentatonix, although not everything is yet revealed about the shows and musical guests. Whatever the details turn out to be, we can safely assume the 2020 Bud Light Concert Series will be as great as always.

The fair has a rich and long history. It opened in 1946 under the name San Luis Obispo County Fair. As an event that advertises with the slogan “America’s Favorite Fair!”, it sure does have a lot to offer in the form of exciting and educating exhibitions. There will also be plenty of competitions in various areas such as arts and crafts, home brewing, home winemaking, or photography. The daily schedule is yet to take up its final form, but one thing for sure, it is going to be a lot of fun.
