Free 2 day workshop for healthy aging and assisting older adults

—Wilshire Community Services “Senior Peer Counseling Program “currently serves hundreds of older adults, countywide. As the need for peer counseling continues to grow, so does the need for more counselors. “We have a crucial need for volunteers, in every city, to assist with the rapidly growing need in our community. With as little as three hours per week, you can help us meet this need head on,” explains Traci Mello, Administrator of Wilshire Community Services.

Wilshire Community Services is offering a two-day comprehensive workshop on processes and issues that impact healthy aging. The training brings together experts in the field of aging to create a rich learning experience. Participants will be able to more completely understand their own aging experience and learn how to skillfully assist older adults. The next free training is Thursday and Friday, March 8 – 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. located at 77 South St Suite W, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
