Templeton Chamber seeks nominations for board of directors

Templeton chamberLetters of interest accepted through Oct. 31

In a recent letter to Templeton Chamber of Commerce members, Templeton Chamber CEO Sarah Maggelet stated the need for four new members of the Board of Directors. Maggelet wrote the following:

The Templeton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is an 11-member body of community leaders who meet monthly to direct the governance of the organization. They also contribute to the planning and execution of our events and programs throughout the year and serve on subcommittees to advance the goals of the Templeton Chamber.

We are seeking four new members of the Board of Directors, to start a three-year term in January 2018. As an active member of the chamber, you will be emailed a ballot in mid-November with the slate of candidates and asked to cast your vote.

If you would like to nominate yourself, or another chamber member, for a role on the Board of Directors, we would ask that you send a letter of interest via email to CEO Sarah Maggelet, no later than October 31. It will be forwarded to the Nominating Committee after Sarah meets with you to discuss specifics of the position and answer any questions you might have. Board meetings are currently scheduled for the second Wednesday of the month in Templeton from 7 to 8:30 a.m. and are mandatory. That meeting time and date is subject to change with board approval.

We look forward to your nominations for this important role in your Chamber of Commerce and appreciate your willingness to donate your time and talents to the leadership of our organization.

For more information, contact Maggelet at: [email protected].
