Oktoberfest arrives at Templeton Park Sept. 30
First inaugural event features live music, German food and costume contest
–Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Templeton Oktoberfest, a North County beer festival in the German tradition, produced by the Templeton Chamber of Commerce and Hole Hop Promotions. The event will feature unlimited tasting from over a dozen local breweries, plus the option to purchase a commemorative stein for full glasses of one’s favorite beer. Patrons also will enjoy traditional German cuisine, drinking games and live music by Trio Internationale in the Templeton Park. Attendees are encourage to dress the part and enter to win a prize in our Lederhose and Dirndl costume contest.
The playground, restrooms and upper field will still be open to the public on that afternoon. Attendees are welcome to bring a low back chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the shady grass, but no coolers, animals or outside alcohol is allowed. Templeton Oktoberfest is for adults 21 and older only; no babies or children are allowed in the event.
Locals and visitors are encouraged to come spend the day at the Templeton Park on Saturday, September 30th. The county’s largest farmer’s market is held in the park from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the Templeton Oktoberfest kicks off at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $30 pre- sale and $40 at the door for wine tasting or $15 for non-drinking attendees over 21 years of age.
