–The El Paso de Robles Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recently congratulated Frances Rose Osran, a Templeton High School Senior, for winning this year’s DAR Good Citizen award for the California.

Each year, the local chapter has three to four senior high school students chosen by their peers, counselors, teachers and others to represent their attending school. It is an outstanding honor to be chosen to represent their senior classes. Those are selected are judged by grades and community service. After winning the chapter honors, contestants are judged by District and then by the State. “These graduating seniors serve their communities, schools and churches with drive and enthusiasm while maintaining high scholastic levels of achievement,” said Donna Cohen of the local chapter of DAR.

Osran was chosen as the California State winner from 80 participating DAR California chapters, and a total of 423 entries.
