Castoro Cellars donates $18,000 to Templeton High School Band
The Udsen Family Gives Beaverstock 2016 proceeds to band program
–The Udsen family of Castoro Cellars announced their donation of $18,000 to the Templeton Instrumental Music Boosters Association (TIMBA). The donation is from proceeds from the winery’s annual Beaverstock music festival. Two generations of the Udsen family presented a check to band director David Landers.
As dedicated supporters of local community, and longtime lovers of music and arts, the Udsens have given a portion of Beaverstock’s proceeds to a local charity every year. The cumulative total currently exceeds $50,000, past benefactor is the Templeton Education Foundation.
The association is a non-profit parent volunteer organization that supports Templeton High School musicians by enhancing their learning experiences and providing additional resources and opportunities that might not otherwise exist. Beaverstock has grown considerably over its four years, with 4,000 attendees in 2016 reveling in 16 bands on two stages, along with collections by local artists, all-ages yoga, kid crafts and games, Castoro wines, craft beers, ciders and food trucks, all in a family-friendly environment.
