Templeton 4th of July Parade kicks off at 10 a.m.
This year’s theme is, ‘Let Freedom Ring’
–The 37th annual Templeton Independence Day Parade hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Templeton is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4. The theme of this year’s parade is “Let Freedom Ring.”
The parade route closes to all traffic at 9 a.m. The parade route begins at 1st St. & Main St., west on 1st St., then south on Crocker to 8th St., 8th St. to Main St. and back to 1st St. Streets will be reopened as soon as the parade concludes, probably around noon.
Come early and enjoy a pancake breakfast at the Templeton Fire Station before the parade starts (7 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.). Pre-sale tickets are available at the Templeton CSD Office located at 420 Crocker Street during business hours. Tickets may also be bought at the door.
Family activities will follow in Templeton Park after the parade until 3 p.m. The Party in the Park features music by The Matt Nino Band, delicious food and drinks, a beer booth, vendors, shopping booths, bounce houses and games for the family.
The Templeton Lions Club is seeking donations for their live auction in the park on Monday, July 4. Monies raised go towards free swimming for children at the Templeton Pool all summer long, scholarships and other community causes.
