High school sports highlights

Girls’ soccer

– The Templeton High School varsity girls earned a 3-2 win at home over the visiting Cabrillo Conquistadores on Thursday.

Scoring one goal apiece for the Eagles were: Miriam Robles; Elizabeth Magie, off of a corner kick from Robles, and Ashley Ingle with an assist from Robles. – Submitted by Michelle Robles

Eagles team captains Mariam Robles and Elizabeth Magie pair up to ensure the ball stays in Templeton’s control.

Girls’ basketball

The Paso Robles varsity girls were outscored by Mission Prep, 45-25 on Friday.

Grace Rosa scored 14 points for the Bearcats, and Kimberley Buchanan added six points.

The Bearcats (2-3 PAC 8, 3-12 overall) are set to host the Pioneer Valley Panthers on Wednesday, Jan. 20; the JV game starts at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 5:30 p.m. Also on Wednesday, the Frosh Bearcats will face Pioneer Valley in Santa Maria at 7 p.m.
