Templeton Rotary seeks contestants for chili cook-off 

Templeton Chili Cookoff– The Rotary Club of Templeton is holding the 2nd Annual Templeton Chili Cook-off on Saturday, Oct. 24, on Main Street, as part of the Templeton Founders Day Street Fair.

Applications are now being accepted for home chili cooks who want to compete for a first prize of $500 cash. Applications and contest details can be found at TempletonRotary.com. Tasting Tickets are $10 and available online at www.TempletonRotary.com or at the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, 321 S. Main Street.

Proceeds from the event will support Rotary projects in the community and around the world.

The Founders Day Street Fair is free and will feature live bluegrass music by Amber Cross, craft and food vendors, community performances, beer and wine, antique engines, autos and tractors, a blacksmith demonstration, a kids activity area, tours of the Historical Museum plus a free slice a pie (or cake) to every attendee. The event kicks off with a cattle drive down Main Street at Noon.
