10-year old wins Templeton Turkey Trot Logo Contest

–10-year old Hunter McMillan submitted the winning entry to the Templeton Recreation Department’s 9th Annual Turkey Trot Fun Run logo contest. His colorful drawing will be used as the logo on this year’s race t-shirts. McMillan, a fifth grader at Vineyard Elementary School saw the logo contest announcement in his homework folder. He immediately asked his Mom if he could enter the contest.

McMillan loves art. In his spare time he enjoys creating his own comic stories and comic book art. He also really enjoys Fridays at school because they get to do art every Friday.

The Turkey Trot Fun Run is Saturday, Nov. 19. Participants may choose from a 5k, 10k, or 1 Mile course. The 5k and 10k runs start at 8 a.m. The 1 mile run follows at 9 a.m.

The 1-mile Kids Loop Fun Run is $5. Please note that the day of registration for adults is $55 at the Templeton Community Services District’s Board Meeting Room located at 206 5th Street, Templeton.

Day of registration requires payment by checks or cash only. T-Shirt cost Day of the run is $15 (if available).
