Templeton Wine Festival Goes ‘Fiesta’ for Cinco De Mayo

–Tickets are now on sale for the 6th Annual Templeton Wine Festival, produced by the Templeton Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature unlimited tasting from most of the North County’s best boutique wineries, with a Latin Flair this year, as the festival lands on Cinco De Mayo.

Patrons also enjoy specialty food tastings from local purveyors, browse interesting art, crafts and boutique shopping vendors and enjoy live music by Ricky Montijo, plus Ballet Folklorico dancers and traditional mariachi music in the bandstand gazebo of Templeton Park.
A variety of food trucks will be selling food and non-alcoholic beverages as well. The playground, restrooms and upper field will still be open to the public on that afternoon. Attendees are welcome to bring a low back chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the shady grass, but no coolers, animals or outside alcohol is allowed.

The chamber is accepting winery, brewery, cider house, food and craft/art vendors now. Applications are available at www.templetonwinefestival.com. Check back often as chamber staff adds to the list of participating wineries on the homepage.

Locals and visitors are encouraged to come spend the day at the Templeton Park on Saturday, May 5. The county’s largest farmer’s market is held in the park from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the Templeton Wine Festival kicks off at 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $35 pre-sale and $45 at the door for wine tasting or $20 for non-drinking attendees of any age. For more information and to purchase tickets to the Wine Festival, contact the Templeton Chamber of Commerce at (805) 434-1789 or visit www.templetonwinefestival.com.
