templeton-area-advisory-groupElection is open to registered voters within school district boundaries

-The Templeton Area Advisory Group, the organization designated by San Luis Obispo County to provide feedback and recommendations to the SLO County Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission, the Planning Department and other agencies that request community input on land use and planning matters that affect Templeton, is holding their election on March 2, from 5-8 p.m. at the Templeton Community Services District Board Room, located at 420 Crocker Street. The election is open to every registered voter residing in the Templeton Unified School District boundaries.

There is one incumbent and three new candidates on the ballot, vying for a two-year term as a delegate on the board. Voters can vote for up to four candidates, with the top three seated as delegates and the fourth lowest vote-getter seated as a non-voting alternate with a one year term. There will be one alternate seat left open, for which the delegates may choose to appoint that alternate at a later date after the election or leave it vacant.

Questionnaires completed by the candidates, providing information on their length of residence in Templeton, their background and experience as it relates to the office and what committees interest them, are posted on the TAAG website: www.taaginfo.org. The following Templeton residents will be on the ballot on March 2:

Bob Bejarano (incumbent)
Joel Woodruff
Matthew Parker
Chris Cobey

TAAG meets monthly on the third Thursday of each month at the TCSD Board room starting at 7 p.m. and meetings are open to the public, with time on the agenda for public comment. To learn more about TAAG, residents are encouraged to join the e-mail list by emailing [email protected] with “Add me to TAAG list” in the subject line.
