TCSD Manager’s Annual Message

Happy Spring Templeton!

Jeff Briltz

Manager Jeff Briltz

The Spring and Summer months bring so many activities and events to our area. We hope you take the time to participate in a few of our upcoming events that help make Templeton such a great place to live and enjoy. The Templeton Summer Concerts in the Park runs for 11 weeks, each Wednesday evening beginning on June 10 and features talented bands from many genres.

On Saturday July 4, bring the family and be a part of small-town Americana by coming to the Templeton Firefighter’s Association Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast, watch the Independence Day Parade and stick around after the parade at Templeton Community Park for all kinds of family fun as the Templeton Chamber of Commerce and Templeton Recreation Foundation put on Templeton’s own July 4th Celebration.

You might be asking: what is the Templeton Community Services District up to when it comes to preparing for our community’s future? That is what the Board of Directors was tasked with at the Strategic Planning Session held on January 31. After a daylong workshop, goals for the next year were drafted and adopted in February – please take the time to read up on the goals.

Finally, I want to thank all of you in Templeton who have done such a great job in reducing your water use over the past year. From April to Dec. 2014, Templeton residents and business saved about 20 percent as compared to the same months in 2013. Keep up the good work! As this drought continues into a fourth year, you may be asked to do even more. Check www.templetoncsd.org or your Templeton CSD Utility Bill each month for news or announcements about water conservation requirements as they change. For current watering rules, (see page 25) and for many more useful water savings tips, visit www.saveourh2o.org.

On behalf of the district staff and board of directors, we thank you for reading the information contained in this edition of Templeton Matters. Informed and involved citizens are what make Templeton such a great place to call home!

Jeff Briltz

General Manager,
Templeton CSD
