Donations needed for Templeton 4th of July in the parkamerican flag

The Templeton REC Foundation and the Templeton Chamber of Commerce will be coordinating the Templeton 4th of July 2015 Park Celebration activities. Many people are unaware that Templeton County Park is not owned or operated by Templeton CSD. As such, the Templeton REC Foundation and the Templeton Chamber of Commerce incur the costs of renting the park, providing porta-pottees, purchasing insurance to indemnify the county, hiring a band for the afternoon, operating the beer booth and coordinating the food booths and activities in the park on the 4th of July.

Beer booth proceeds have been used to offset all costs but the event continues to increase in cost. As such, donations to offset the cost of the 4th of July event are being accepted at this time. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Templeton REC Foundation Members Laurie Ion or Natalie Klock at (805) 434-4900. Let’s keep our hometown event going!

4th of July – application/information form to participate in celebrations at Templeton Park

The annual 4th of July Parade and Park Celebration has become a tradition in Templeton. Locals and visitors enjoy a pancake breakfast, parade, and festivities at the park including music, food and drink at Templeton Park. Applications/Information and fee schedule will be available after April 1, 2015.

This year all booth participants are strongly encouraged to have activities that can be enjoyed by all ages. If you need ideas, we would be glad to help! All “for” profit and non-profit organizations are welcome! The festivities in the park kick off officially after the parade and end by 3 p.m. The band typically starts playing around noon. Bring picnic blankets and chairs and plan on a family day in the park.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Templeton REC Foundation Members Laurie Ion, Natalie Klock or Templeton Chamber Executive Director Sarah Maggelet at the following e-mail addresses: [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected].
