Day in the Shade returns to Templeton May 9, bigger and better than ever

Day in the Shade presented by Olea Farms features art, food, music, dog show, kids activities, and more during Mother’s Day weekend

Bring the entire family to Farmer’s Market and stay for a Day in the Shade: A Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A perfect Mother’s Day weekend outing in the quaint setting of the Templeton Park, Day in the Shade, now in its 13th year, will feature over 60 fine artists, a silent auction, local artisan food, wine and olive oil tastings, a petting zoo, interactive children’s activities and exhibits, a dog show, and live music.

“Day in the Shade takes place on Mother’s Day weekend and it is the perfect place to spend a day out with mom or the entire family,” says Christie Kelly, Executive Director for The Cancer Support Community. “The setting is beautiful, and there are opportunities to shop for a Mother’s Day gift or maybe even find something to take home for you to enjoy. Bring mom down to enjoy some savory waffles and coffee, view some art and, in the afternoon, sip some wine, listen to music, and have a tri-tip sandwich. Day in the Shade is what the Central Coast is all about – hanging out with family and friends and celebrating life.”
