Mike Lane, Templeton Chamber of Commerce Board
Mike Lane joined the Templeton Chamber Board as Vice President in the Spring of 2013. In January 2013, Mike accepted a position as Chief Operating Officer of Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton. He is a Board Certified Healthcare Executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in hospitals, outpatient medical offices, and dental practices. Most recently he served as Senior Administrator for Cypress Healthcare Partners in Monterey, California.
There he provided leadership for several primary and specialty physician offices as well as overseeing the construction of a large primary/specialty care facility. Before Cypress Healthcare Partners, he was the Administrator/CEO for a large multi-specialty dental practice.
In 2005, he retired from the Navy after 21 years of service. Mike served as both an enlisted Navy Hospital Corpsman and as a Naval Officer in the Medical Service Corps. His duties included providing front-line care while stationed with the U.S. Marines. In addition, he served in various roles; Director for Patient Administration, Director for three acute Medical Clinics, Director for Hospital Marketing/Patient Relations, Emergency Medical Technician; Medical Administrator and Radiation Health Officer on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, and CEO of the Navy Administrative Unit in Monterey.
Mike’s favorite duty station was Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy. Before joining the Navy, he began his career in healthcare in Kansas as a Certified Nurse’s Aide / Certified Medication Aide at a skilled nursing facility and then as a Certified Psychiatric Aide at Larned State Hospital where he worked on the criminally insane ward.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from San Diego’s National University in Financial Accounting; a Master of Science in Human Resources from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare, Finance, and Information Technology from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. Lastly, Mike is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Fellow of American Academy of Medical Administrators (FAAMA), and a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
Mike lives in Templeton with his wife and three sons, ages 8, 6, and 3. When he is not at the hospital, he is busy with his boys.
