Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham (R- San Luis Obispo) announced he has distributed more than 14,000 Red Ribbon Week certificates to Central Coast students who have pledged to live a drug-free, healthy lifestyle.

“It’s great to see so many students taking the pledge to live a healthy, drug-free life,” said Cunningham. “Red Ribbon Week has been extremely successful and I’m thankful that so many schools participated.”

Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at encouraging students to live drug-free. Assemblyman Cunningham hopes to continue protecting students from drug abuse. He introduced legislation this year to make schools marijuana-free areas and will continue to fight to keep drugs out of schools.
